Local knowledge
Business deliveries from Herne Bay
Which Herne Bay estates do you collect from?
All of CT6. Altira Park on The Boulevard fronts the A299 at the dualled Thanet Way junction, beside Screwfix and Howdens. West of the centre, West Industrial Park and Westbrook Industrial Estate share Sea Street, about 1.4 miles off the A299, and Eddington Business Park sits on the south-eastern side. Urgent runs from these estates tend to be building supplies, fittings and replacement parts for plant or vans, headed for a site that can’t wait.
Can you take something to Canterbury in a hurry?
Yes. Canterbury is about 8 miles down the A291, typically 20 to 25 minutes, which suits documents for the Law Courts on Chaucer Road and clinical items from the Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital on King Edward Avenue to the Kent and Canterbury Hospital. Whitstable is 10 to 15 minutes west on the A299. For most same-day jobs, one driver takes your consignment straight there, and it isn’t normally transferred on the way.
How long to London or Heathrow from Herne Bay?
Central London is about 63 miles, typically 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours via the A299, M2 and A2. Heathrow is roughly 90 miles, typically 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes via the M2 and M25, to the cargo area on the southern perimeter. M25 junction 2 is typically 45 to 55 minutes. You’ll get live updates from the driver and a proof of delivery naming the recipient.

Why not a parcel network?
The Same Day Couriers Kent difference
Less handling on the way
For most same-day jobs, your consignment travels directly with the assigned driver. It is not normally taken to a depot, sorted or moved between vehicles.
The vehicle you actually need
We match the vehicle to your job, from a motorcycle for documents to a 7.5-tonne lorry with tail-lift for pallets, so you're not paying for spare capacity.
You know where it is
The driver keeps you updated while the job is running, and proof of delivery gives you the recipient's name and the time of handover.
Cover agreed before you book
Every consignment includes cover up to £100. Worth more? Tell us the value and, where extra insurance can be arranged, we confirm the cover and cost before you accept.
