Delivering to Cambridge: what to know
Which Cambridge sites do you deliver to?
Any address, but most Kent jobs go to research sites. Cambridge Science Park on Milton Road and St John’s Innovation Park are on the north side near the A14. The Cambridge Biomedical Campus, home to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, is on the south side, and further south are Granta Park at Great Abington and the Babraham Research Campus. Each runs its own goods-in or reception, so give us the building and a named contact.
How long will it take?
From Maidstone the driver crosses at Dartford, follows the M25 to junction 27, then the M11 north, typically 90 to 100 miles. Junction 11 serves the Biomedical Campus and the south of the city; junction 14 and the A14 serve the Science Park. The Dart Charge applies. A morning collection typically delivers before midday, and for most same-day jobs your samples stay with the one driver.
What about temperature and specimen rules?
You pack diagnostic specimens to UN3373 and supply validated packaging for anything temperature-sensitive; a short, direct journey is the main protection we add. Declare dangerous goods such as dry ice when you enquire, so we can confirm the vehicle and ADR requirements. Cover is up to £100 as standard; for higher-value items, tell us the value and we confirm any extra cover that can be arranged, and its cost, before you accept.

The Same Day Couriers Kent difference
Less handling on the way
For most same-day jobs, your consignment travels directly with the assigned driver. It is not normally taken to a depot, sorted or moved between vehicles.
The vehicle you actually need
We match the vehicle to your job, from a motorcycle for documents to a 7.5-tonne lorry with tail-lift for pallets, so you're not paying for spare capacity.
You know where it is
The driver keeps you updated while the job is running, and proof of delivery gives you the recipient's name and the time of handover.
Cover agreed before you book
Every consignment includes cover up to £100. Worth more? Tell us the value and, where extra insurance can be arranged, we confirm the cover and cost before you accept.
