Delivering to Birmingham: what to know
Can you get it to Birmingham today?
Yes, if the collection time allows. The drive is typically 155 to 165 miles and 2 hours 45 minutes to 3 hours 30 minutes from Maidstone: the M20, the M26 and the M25 clockwise to junction 16, then the M40 and the M42. For north and east Birmingham the M1 and M6 can be quicker. A mid-morning collection typically arrives by early afternoon, and if the site closes at 5pm, collecting from mid-Kent by early afternoon usually works.
Where in Birmingham do you deliver?
Anywhere in the city. Kent jobs often go to factories and tier suppliers around Tyseley, Aston and the Castle Bromwich estates, offices in the Colmore Business District and Brindleyplace, and jewellers and small-batch makers in the Jewellery Quarter. Each has different access, so give us the exact unit, goods-in hours and a contact.
What do I need to tell you?
Your collection postcode, the delivery address, what you’re sending and when it’s ready. We match the vehicle to the job, from a motorcycle or small car to a van or larger vehicle, rather than charging you for capacity you don’t need. For most same-day jobs it stays with one driver the whole way. Declare dangerous goods. Cover is up to £100 as standard; if the goods are worth more, tell us the value and we confirm any extra cover that can be arranged, and its cost, before you accept.

The Same Day Couriers Kent difference
Less handling on the way
For most same-day jobs, your consignment travels directly with the assigned driver. It is not normally taken to a depot, sorted or moved between vehicles.
The vehicle you actually need
We match the vehicle to your job, from a motorcycle for documents to a 7.5-tonne lorry with tail-lift for pallets, so you're not paying for spare capacity.
You know where it is
The driver keeps you updated while the job is running, and proof of delivery gives you the recipient's name and the time of handover.
Cover agreed before you book
Every consignment includes cover up to £100. Worth more? Tell us the value and, where extra insurance can be arranged, we confirm the cover and cost before you accept.
