Collect in Kent, delivery arranged anywhere in the UK
Same Day Courier Sheerness
Everything leaving the Isle of Sheppey by road has to cross the Swale, so a Sheerness collection is planned around that one crossing. Same Day Couriers Kent collects from your ME11 or ME12 address, including the Port of Sheerness, and is typically at M2 junction 5 within 15 to 20 minutes, with delivery arranged anywhere in the UK.

Business deliveries from Sheerness
Can you collect from the Port of Sheerness?
Yes, subject to the port’s own gate and security procedures. The port, run by Peel Ports as part of its London Medway business, handles fresh produce, new vehicles and forest products, with a temperature-controlled produce terminal, a banana ripening facility and secure car storage at Lappel Bank. That traffic creates urgent work: shipping paperwork, parts for handling equipment, and vehicle components for a dealer or preparation centre. Send the terminal or berth, any booking reference and a site contact with your enquiry.
Where else on Sheppey do we collect from?
Most of the island’s units cluster around Queenborough and the A249 approach. Neats Court Business Park sits beside Neatscourt Retail Park at the island end of the A249, and Klondyke Industrial Estate is on Rushenden Road in Queenborough. We cover Minster, Eastchurch and Leysdown too, and Ridham Dock is just across the Swale at Iwade.
How long to get off the island and on to London?
Traffic leaves over the high-level A249 Sheppey Crossing, with the older Kingsferry lifting bridge beside it, and high winds can affect the crossing. On the mainland, the A249 runs as dual carriageway to M2 junction 5 and on to M20 junction 7 near Maidstone. Outside peak hours, a van from Sheerness typically reaches M25 junction 2 in 45 to 60 minutes, central London in 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes and Heathrow in 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours.

The Same Day Couriers Kent difference
Less handling on the way
For most same-day jobs, your consignment travels directly with the assigned driver. It is not normally taken to a depot, sorted or moved between vehicles.
The vehicle you actually need
We match the vehicle to your job, from a motorcycle for documents to a 7.5-tonne lorry with tail-lift for pallets, so you're not paying for spare capacity.
You know where it is
The driver keeps you updated while the job is running, and proof of delivery gives you the recipient's name and the time of handover.
Cover agreed before you book
Every consignment includes cover up to £100. Worth more? Tell us the value and, where extra insurance can be arranged, we confirm the cover and cost before you accept.
