Local knowledge
Business deliveries from Gravesend
Where in Gravesend and Northfleet do you collect?
Anywhere in DA11, DA12 and DA13. Most industrial work sits along the Thames: Imperial Business Park at West Mill, Canal Industrial Park on Canal Road, Northfleet Industrial Estate on Lower Road, and Ebbsfleet Business Park and Springhead Enterprise Park around Ebbsfleet. Urgent jobs here tend to be machine parts, fixings and building materials that have to reach a site before a crew stands down, and legal filings from town-centre firms to London courts.
Tilbury’s just across the river. How quickly can you get there?
Typically 25 to 35 minutes by road. The port is directly opposite Gravesend, but a vehicle has to go round via the A2, M25 and Dartford Crossing, so we plan the run around crossing traffic. London Gateway, further east in Thurrock, is typically 30 to 40 minutes. We agree the handover point at the port gate or with a named forwarder when you accept the quote.
How long to London, Heathrow or Gatwick?
Central London is about 25 miles, typically 50 to 80 minutes via the A2. Heathrow is roughly 50 miles, typically 55 to 90 minutes via the A2 and M25, to the cargo area on the southern perimeter. Gatwick is around 45 miles, typically 50 to 75 minutes via the M25 and M23. Ebbsfleet International, on HS1, is on the Northfleet side, but a dedicated vehicle keeps your consignment with one driver door to door.

Why not a parcel network?
The Same Day Couriers Kent difference
Less handling on the way
For most same-day jobs, your consignment travels directly with the assigned driver. It is not normally taken to a depot, sorted or moved between vehicles.
The vehicle you actually need
We match the vehicle to your job, from a motorcycle for documents to a 7.5-tonne lorry with tail-lift for pallets, so you're not paying for spare capacity.
You know where it is
The driver keeps you updated while the job is running, and proof of delivery gives you the recipient's name and the time of handover.
Cover agreed before you book
Every consignment includes cover up to £100. Worth more? Tell us the value and, where extra insurance can be arranged, we confirm the cover and cost before you accept.
