Business deliveries from Rainham
Where in Rainham do we collect from?
Most of Rainham’s industrial units sit along Otterham Quay Lane on the eastern edge of town, including Cloverlay Industrial Estate off Canterbury Lane, Beckenham Park and Chestnut Court. Shops, trade counters and service businesses line the A2 through the centre. Give us the unit number and a contact name, and the driver comes straight to your door. For practices sending specimens, Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham is a short run west along the A2.
Which way will your consignment leave town?
That depends on where it’s going. For London, the M25 or Canterbury, we take the A278 Hoath Way, a dual carriageway of about three miles, up to M2 junction 4. For short runs into Gillingham, Newington or Sittingbourne, the A2 is usually quicker and stays off the motorway altogether. Eastbound jobs start fastest of all, because the M2 towards Canterbury is right there at junction 4.
How long will it take from Rainham?
Outside peak hours, a van from Rainham typically reaches M25 junction 2 in 25 to 35 minutes, central London in 65 to 95 minutes and Heathrow’s cargo area in 80 to 110 minutes. Typical jobs here are small and urgent: a replacement part for a unit on Otterham Quay Lane, trade goods for a contractor on a Medway site, or signed documents heading to London. A motorcycle or small car often does it; a van or larger vehicle handles pallets.

Less handling on the way
For most same-day jobs, your consignment travels directly with the assigned driver. It is not normally taken to a depot, sorted or moved between vehicles.
The vehicle you actually need
We match the vehicle to your job, from a motorcycle for documents to a 7.5-tonne lorry with tail-lift for pallets, so you're not paying for spare capacity.
You know where it is
The driver keeps you updated while the job is running, and proof of delivery gives you the recipient's name and the time of handover.
Cover agreed before you book
Every consignment includes cover up to £100. Worth more? Tell us the value and, where extra insurance can be arranged, we confirm the cover and cost before you accept.
