Local knowledge
Business deliveries from Tunbridge Wells
Where in Tunbridge Wells do we collect from?
Most trade and industrial activity is at North Farm, on the north-eastern edge of town near the A21. It’s now a mix of smaller business parks and retail parks rather than one estate. Longfield Road carries most of the retail warehousing, and Dowding Way, home to the car dealerships, links through to the High Brooms industrial area. The town centre is professional offices, independent retail and Royal Victoria Place, where deliveries go through set bays and times.
Can you handle hospital and clinic work?
Yes. Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury, on Tonbridge Road beside the A21, is the district general hospital, run by Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. Clinics, pharmacies and practices move specimens, equipment and supplies to and from it. You pack diagnostic specimens to UN3373 and tell us the department, and the driver hands over direct.
How long to London, Heathrow and Gatwick?
The A21 runs as dual carriageway from Pembury to M25 junction 5, typically 25 to 35 minutes outside peak hours. For Gatwick, the A264 west through Langton Green and East Grinstead to the M23 avoids the M25 altogether, typically 45 to 60 minutes. A van typically reaches central London in 70 to 90 minutes and Heathrow’s cargo area in 65 to 90 minutes. The A26 runs north through Southborough to Tonbridge for local drops.

The Same Day Couriers Kent difference
Less handling on the way
For most same-day jobs, your consignment travels directly with the assigned driver. It is not normally taken to a depot, sorted or moved between vehicles.
The vehicle you actually need
We match the vehicle to your job, from a motorcycle for documents to a 7.5-tonne lorry with tail-lift for pallets, so you're not paying for spare capacity.
You know where it is
The driver keeps you updated while the job is running, and proof of delivery gives you the recipient's name and the time of handover.
Cover agreed before you book
Every consignment includes cover up to £100. Worth more? Tell us the value and, where extra insurance can be arranged, we confirm the cover and cost before you accept.
