Delivering to Kent Showground, Detling: what to know
Which hall is my delivery going to?
Tell us the hall and your stand or plot number. The Kent Event Centre has three interconnected halls, the Maidstone Exhibition Hall, the John Hendry Pavilion and the Astor Pavilion, plus the separate Clive Emson Conference Centre. Ramp access serves all the exhibition halls, which helps if your load is on a pallet truck. Outdoor events such as the Kent County Show use the wider 200-acre ground. The venue postcode is ME14 3JF.
How does the driver get in?
From junction 7 of the M20 the entrance is on the left of the A249, just after the brow of Detling Hill. Traffic coming from Sittingbourne cannot turn right across the carriageway, so the driver carries on to the roundabout at the bottom of the hill and comes back up. Big shows control vehicle movements through the organiser, so send us any delivery window or pass.
What should I tell you when I book?
The event, hall or plot, stand number, what is going and a named person with a mobile. We come back with a price and the earliest collection time, then send the right vehicle, from a motorcycle or small car for a card terminal to a van or 7.5-tonne lorry for heavy stock. Cover up to £100 is standard; tell us if it is worth more and, where extra cover can be arranged, we confirm the level and any cost before you accept.
