Delivering to Orbital Park, Ashford: what to know
How will the driver find my unit?
Give us the scheme name and unit, not just the park name. The park at Sevington is several schemes: The Courtyard, seven three-storey office buildings around a central courtyard; Oak Trees Business Park towards the western end; the Axiom units on Hall Avenue; and Orbital House on Moat Way. Occupiers range from trade and light industry to regional offices.
Why is the area so busy with lorries?
The Sevington Inland Border Facility, the government lorry site for import checks, is reached from the same A2070 Orbital Park roundabout near junction 10a. Heavy goods traffic is normal here, which is another reason the driver needs your scheme and unit, so they head for the business units rather than the lorry site.
What happens when I book?
Send your collection postcode, the unit, what is going and when. We reply with a price and the earliest collection time, then assign the vehicle, from a motorcycle or small car for documents to a 7.5-tonne lorry with tail-lift for pallets. A standard UK pallet is 1200 x 1000 mm. From Maidstone it is around 20 miles along the M20. Cover up to £100 is standard; if the goods are worth more, tell us the value and, where extra cover can be arranged, we confirm the level and any cost before you accept.
