Delivering to Royal Courts of Justice: what to know
Which building are my documents for?
Check before you book. The Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand houses the High Court and the Court of Appeal. The Business and Property Courts, including the Commercial Court and the Technology and Construction Court, sit in the Rolls Building on Fetter Lane, EC4A 1NL, part of the same court estate but a different address around ten minutes’ walk away.
What will the courier actually do?
Collect from your office, drive direct, and hand the documents to the court counter or your named recipient, such as counsel’s clerk or your agent. Counter service is currently by appointment, so give us your appointment time or the recipient’s details. We deliver; we do not file, issue or pay court fees for you. Much High Court filing now runs through CE-File, so the physical run is usually a hearing bundle, signed originals or papers for counsel.
How long will it take, and what proof do I get?
From Maidstone the driver takes the M20 and A20 or the M2 and A2 into London, around 38 to 42 miles and typically 1.25 to 2 hours. You get live updates and proof of delivery with the recipient’s name and exact time, the record a fee earner needs. Documents are covered up to £100 as standard; if anything is worth more, tell us its value and, where extra cover can be arranged, we confirm the level and any cost before you accept.

The Same Day Couriers Kent difference
Less handling on the way
For most same-day jobs, your consignment travels directly with the assigned driver. It is not normally taken to a depot, sorted or moved between vehicles.
The vehicle you actually need
We match the vehicle to your job, from a motorcycle for documents to a 7.5-tonne lorry with tail-lift for pallets, so you're not paying for spare capacity.
You know where it is
The driver keeps you updated while the job is running, and proof of delivery gives you the recipient's name and the time of handover.
Cover agreed before you book
Every consignment includes cover up to £100. Worth more? Tell us the value and, where extra insurance can be arranged, we confirm the cover and cost before you accept.
